Job Descriptions 

 

Part-time Line Cook

(must be at least 18 years old, No experience required)

Tasks & Requirements

  • Inspect and clean food preparation areas, such as equipment and work surfaces, or serving areas to ensure safe and sanitary food-handling practices.

  • Ensure food is stored and cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters.

  • Ensure freshness of food and ingredients by checking for quality, keeping track of old and new items, and rotating stock.

  • Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.

  • Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.

  • Bake, roast, broil, and steam meats, fish, vegetables, and other foods.

  • Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.

  • Portion, arrange, and garnish food, and serve food to waiters or patrons.

  • Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.

  • Steady hand for slicing and cutting various food items.

  • Must be able to stand/be active for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.

  • Should have basic knowledge of Kitchen Appliances and Utensils.

  • Ability to handle heat, and a fast-pace work environment.

  • Oral Comprehension and Expression, to ensure order correctness and communication with fellow employees. 

  • Moderately technologically savvy. 

  • Must be available various shifts, including nights , weekends, and most holidays.

 

Head Chef  

(must be at least 18 years old, culinary training/education preferred, or at least 2 years experience in commerical kitchen)

Tasks & Requirements

All of the Above tasks & requirements, plus:

  • Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.

  • Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met.

  • Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients.

  • Instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food.

  • Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation.

  • Inspect supplies, equipment, or work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.

  • Order or requisition food or other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation.

  • Determine production schedules and staff requirements necessary to ensure timely delivery of services.

  • Check the quantity and quality of received products.

  • Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays.

  • Delegate quickly to all members of staff as needed to ensure product completion and customer satisfaction.

 

Pizza Chef

(must be at least 18 years old, Experience preferred but not required).

Tasks & Requirements

  • Maintain sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areas.

  • Clean food preparation areas, cooking surfaces, and utensils.

  • Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.

  • Prepare and cook display case pizzas for by-the-slice consumption.

  • Prepare specialty pizzas following specific methods that usually require short preparation time.

  • Operate large-volume cooking equipment such as grills, deep-fat fryers, or griddles and high-temperature ovens.

  • Read food order slips or receive verbal instructions as to food required by patron, and prepare and cook food according to instructions.

  • Measure ingredients required for specific food items being prepared.

  • Take food and drink orders and receive payment from customers.

  • Clean, stock, and restock workstations and display cases.

  • Must be able to stand/be active for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.

  • Should have basic knowledge of Kitchen Appliances and Utensils.

  • Ability to handle heat, and a fast-pace work environment.

  • Oral Comprehension and Expression, to ensure order correctness and communication with fellow employees. 

  • Moderately technologically savvy. 

  • Must be available various shifts, including nights , weekends, and most holidays.

 

Delivery Driver

(must be at least 16 years old, with a valid NYS drivers license, clean driving record, and own a reliable, insured vehicle. )

Tasks & Requirements

  • Collect money from customers, make change, and record transactions on customer receipts.

  • Drive according to proper road regulations to deliver such items as food.

  • Read order tickets to determine details of customers' orders to ensure proper delivery of  food & beverage items.

  • Inform regular customers of new products or services and price changes.

  • Listen to and resolve customers' complaints regarding products or services.

  • Knowledge of common courtesy practices, and customer service interactions. 

  • Maintain & clean personal delivery vehicle.

  • Knowledge of delivery area to expidite logistical processes. 

  • Must be able to stand/be active for long periods of time.

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 30lbs.

  • Should have basic knowledge of Kitchen Appliances and Utensils.

  • Ability to handle heat, and a fast-pace work environment.

  • Oral Comprehension and Expression, to ensure order correctness and communication with fellow employees.

Waitstaff

(must be at least 16 years old, experience preferred but not required.)

Tasks & Requirements

  • Must have a friendly, upbeat personality,  with a general knowledge of  basic customer service skills. 

  • Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.

  • Collect payments from customers, and produce change if necessary.

  • Write patrons' food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into computers for transmittal to kitchen staff.

  • Prepare checks that itemize and total meal costs and sales taxes.

  • Take orders from patrons for food or beverages.

  • Check patrons' identification to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages (Applicants 18 - years-of-age +).

  • Serve food or beverages to patrons, and prepare or serve specialty dishes at tables as required.

  • Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.

  • Clean tables or counters after patrons have finished dining.

  • Knowledge of daily specials and ability to repeat back using memorization.

  • Must be able to stand/be active for long periods of time.

  • Should have basic knowledge of Kitchen Appliances and Utensils.

  • Ability to handle heat, and a fast-pace work environment.

  • Oral Comprehension and Expression, to ensure order correctness and communication with fellow employees. 

  • Moderately technologically savvy.
